Febuary 28 marks the anniversary of PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal), the online version of YES! magazine.   Two years after its formal launch, it has established itself as a one-stop shop for entertainment. Thanks to the stars who give us the news (VIEW their video greetings here), the writers who post them, and the PEPsters who read and talk about them.

It's been two years since PEP was formally introduced to the world of showbiz, and we can't help but feel a bit nostalgic about our humble beginnings.

We started with a five-man team, which initially had this modest goal of posting two news items, at the most, per day.

We started with a peewee size of a clout in Tinseltown. In the first few presscons we attended (thanks to the big help of Anna Pingol, the associate editor of YES! magazine), we had to explain what PEP is all about.

The stars' perennial question then—"Ano yun?"

It didn't take long before such unknown site began making noise—first, with the quantity of articles it posted per day, and then the exclusive and first-read-on-pep items.

Before we knew it, PEP became part of the daily habit of Pinoys here and abroad.

With the help of our reliable contributors, Breaking News has become the fastest and credible source of showbiz scoops and updates.

With the continuing support of PEPsters, Comments columns and Forums have become an instant people meter.

With the backing of film outfits, TV networks, record companies, and theater groups, Guide has become a readily available reference for the latest in the entertainment scene.

With the feeds, photos, and videos coming from our loyal readers, PEParazzi is fast becoming the YouTube of local showbiz.

And most of all, with the trust of stars, including our bloggers, and talent managers, PEP has established itself as a one-stop entertainment shop.

These MILESTONES are glaring proofs of our hard work.

Here in PEP, showbiz is 24/7 awake.

We spend numerous sleepless nights writing scoops or attending events.

We sleep dreaming about the stars and showbiz issues.

We wake up gathering data for our news.

We extend work hours just to get all sides and angles of a story.

And YOU have been with us every step of the way.
