Senator Bong Revilla said he's proud and thankful that he's ranked the leading senatorial aspirant in recent surveys.   "Nagpapasalamat tayo sa mga tao, na sumusuporta sa atin. 103 na batas ang naipasa natin, ang nakapag-file tayo ng panukalang batas na more than 500. So isa itong patunay na na si Bong Revilla, hindi lang maingay sa Senado, ngunit, nagtatrabaho ng epektibo," he said.

Actor turned politician Ramon "Bong" Revilla Jr. now has his hands full with campaign events to boost his candidacy for another term in the Senate. Revilla is part of the six-man senatorial slate of the administration's Lakas-Kampi-CMD.

With recent surveys putting him in the lead, Bong is quite confident that he can make it back to the Senate. In fact, the action star is again entertaining movie offers.

Bong confirmed at a press conference earlier today, January 5, that he's slated to make three movies after the elections: the sequel to the box office hit and Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entry Ang Panday, a movie for Star Cinema, and a movie with fellow box office king Vic Sotto.

PANDAY PART TWO. Last year's MMFF Best Actor awardee said he's excited to do Panday's part two, where new cast members will be added.

"Well, pinag-uusapan pa namin kung sino ang makakasama natin. But eventually, of course, nandun pa rin yung ibang nakasama nating cast... at madadagdagan," he said to PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) and other members of the entertainment press.

There are rumors that a Kapamilya actress, like Anne Curtis, may become a new love interest. Bong said only the movie's production company can decide whether Anne will join them.

"Ipapaubaya natin sa kanila. Siyempre, tinitingnan nila kung sino ang mga magandang kombinasyon. Basta ako, paubaya ko sa kanila kung sino ang gusto nilang i-pair sa akin," he said.

COMEDY FILM. Star Cinema is offering Revilla a new action comedy film. Is it true that Toni Gonzaga will play the female lead?

"Antayin na lang natin. Antay, e, hindi kayo makapag-antay!" joked Bong.

Meanwhile, the movie deal with Vic Sotto has yet to be finalized.

"Well, hindi pa kami nagsasara. Pag-uusapan pa namin. Maraming bagay na pag-uusapan. Pero as of now, pine-prepare na rin yung Panday... Nag-usap na kami sa phone. Hinahanda na rin niya yung Enteng Kabisote niya. Tingnan natin kung ano yung mangyayari sa darating na panahon," the actor-politician said.

RIVALRY WITH JINGGOY. Of his fellow senators, Sen. Bong Revilla is without doubt closest to his long-time friend Sen. Jinggoy Estrada. The two, however, stand on different sides of the fence: Revilla is with the administration, while Estrada is with the opposition.

Bong told the press these differences do not affect their deep friendship.

"Sa amin ni Pareng Jinggoy, wala sa amin yung politika, e, wala sa amin yung partido. Ang importante sa amin, yung paano kami makakatulong sa bayan. Dun kami nagsasama-sama. Minsan, may mga stands kami na magkakaiba, pero wala sa 'min yun," he said.

The survey rankings won't turn them into rivals, Bong said.
