Star Cinema and Viva Films are collaborating on another movie this year, starring bankable Kapamilya talents Anne Curtis, Derek Ramsay and Cristine Reyes.

The last time the two movie outfits joined forces was for Sarah Geronimo and Gerald Anderson's Catch Me I'm In Love, which was shown in March this year.

Last night, June 18, PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) caught up with Derek Ramsay in his dressing room after the Boardwalk One Big Show. He revealed that he was both nervous and excited about the project.

"Tomorrow (June 19) is my big day. First day of my movie with Anne and Cristine, and bed scene kaagad."

It has been a while since we last saw Derek on the big screen. His last was in 2009 for Star Cinema's I Love You, Goodbye. The movie also starred Gabby Concepcion, Kim Chiu and his longtime girlfriend Angelica Panganiban.

"I'm really looking forward to going back to acting. It's going to be my first for this year," he said.

And what a way to start the ball rolling!

Derek revealed that the first scene he's shooting is a bed scene with Cristine Reyes. How is he preparing for this?

"I'm watching this film they gave me, Love And Other Drugs, to get a feel for my character. But I'm not really thinking too much about the bed scene."

Said movie was shown in 2010 which featured young Hollywood stars Anne Hathaway and Jake Gyllenhaal.

Derek added: "I'm going to study the film, study the male character (Jake Gyllenhaal), to help me with my character in my movie."

In the film, Jake plays a young salesman at the top of his game. He falls in love with Anne Hathaway's character who, as he later finds out, has a serious medical condition.

The film was much-talked about last year because of the countless bed scenes of Jake and Anne, and the exposure of certain body parts. Derek made no comment when asked if he, too, would be exposing some delicate body parts in his new movie.

His only reply was, "I'm very excited and very nervous. I haven't had this feeling since Magkaribal and I Love You, Goodbye."

Magkaribal was Derek's last TV series for ABS-CBN in 2010 where he starred opposite Bea Alonzo and Gretchen Barretto.
