Who wouldn't want to be in Jinkee Pacquiao's shoes?
As her husband's net worth continues to soar with every hard-earned victory, the Pacquiao family seems consigned to a life of luxury that most Filipinos could only dream of.
With such a vast estate and millions of dollars at her disposal, it's way too easy to assume that Jinkee leads a charmed life.
With her ever-growing collection of Hermes bags and other signature brands, Pacman's wife eventually loomed larger than life as she became the latest toast of the celebrity circuit.
But the wife of the world-famous boxing champion said it's not easy being in her position, alluding to the spate of affairs and scandals that her husband has been dragged into these past years.
"Maraming pagsubok," she confessed.
Over time, she has learned the way to fight her own bouts.
"Basta, stay positive, yun lang... Wag mong masyadong kinikimkim yung problema, 'tapos di kinakalimutan mga prayers ko."
A SIMPLE LIFE. The saleslady from Saranggani has indeed come a long way. But despite the fame and glamour, Jinkee has never forgotten her humble past.
"Simple lang ang buhay nun. Mahirap pero masaya rin," she told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) during the launch of her endorsement, Belo Nutraceuticals.
Smiling, she added, "Ugali naming mangutang sa mga kapitbahay na may mga interes, ganun. Pag umuwi ka ng maaga, kailangan magluto, maglinis ng bahay..."
Maria Geraldine Jamora (Jinkee's maiden name) came into Manny's life eleven years ago, when she was 20.
Recalling their first meeting, "Mabilis lang siya, e," she began.
"Nung nag-wo-work pa ko as beauty consultant ng a, a...hair product. Dun, dumaan lang siya, may binili. Then, actually, kasama ko yung uncle na trainer niya before, so pinakilala kami, yun."
Was it love at first sight?
