"Hindi pa po ako ready," says Sarah Geronimo when asked about plans of leaving her family and living independently.
Since joining showbiz at the age of 14, the singer's life has been her career. She devotes whatever extra time and energy she has to her studies.
But, she wants to "grow" as a person and learn new things.
"Halimbawa, sa financial na bagay, alam ko na rin humawak ng pera ko... At saka grow ka rin bilang alam mo... bilang 23 na rin ako," the singer-actress tells the media present at the launch of Jolly Crispy Fries on August 25.
And she's waiting for the right time. "Alam ko namang hindi ipagkakait sa 'kin ng magulang ko yun," she adds.
GOING INTERNATIONAL SOON? While she has proven her caliber as recording artist, performer, and actress in the local scene, taking things to another level is not in the offing.
"Yun naman ay hindi natin masasagot," she says.
As the prized talent of Viva, the big boss himself, Vic Del Rosario, manages her career.
Moving on, "Hindi ko natanong si Boss Vic tungkol diyan [international career], pero sa ngayon, may mga project po kasi na naka-line up—may pelikula, mga concerts abroad—so, dun po muna tayo siguro kung ano yung meron."
If there's one thing she hopes will materialize, it's her collaboration project with Charice.
"Sa ngayon, hindi ko pa [siya] nakakausap about it pero ayun, sana matuloy pa rin siya."
When asked to comment on reports that Charice's appearance in Glee was kept to a minimum to keep lead star Lea Michele happy, Sarah says she's clueless about the issue.
"Sa inyo ko lang po narinig... I'm not in a position to comment on that. Siyempre, hindi ko naman din po alam. Saka hindi natin alam kung ano talaga ang totoo," she begins, before adding in jest, "We don't know the truth here."
