Maggie Wilson has quit showbiz for good, she tells why

Jan 28, 2016
Maggie Wilson on why she is not going back to showbiz, "To be honest, I found it [showbiz] really, really tiring. "For me it was like a good break as well as a journey to discovering what I really wanted to do outside show business and that's interior designing."

Actress, MTV VJ, model, and Binibining Pilipinas World 2007 titlist.

That was the life Maggie Wilson left behind when she married and became a mother.

In a quick chat at the MBxLV event, Maggie told PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) that her own family is now her top priority.

She said, “I think family is really important.

"I’ve been in it [prioritizing family] for like six years.”

It naturally came to that when she married to real-estate magnate Victor Consunji, who is not in show business.

She explained, “It’s very difficult for him to understand the working hours, why I am never home, right?

“We wanted to start a family right away.

“I choose my hours now, I spend more time with my son and husband.”

She added, “And my son, he’s still very young, he is three years old.

“I want to be around when he has soccer practice, when he has like Christmas presentation at school.

“That for me is really important, that’s a good priority.”

Because family is ??? #Family #LiveLaughLove

When she faded away from the limelight in 2011, Maggie turned her interest to interior designing.

“To be honest I found it [showbiz] really, really tiring,” she said.

She now runs an e-commerce business, and is the author of several blogs.

She described her newfound vocation, “For me, it’s  like a good break as well as a journey to discover what I really wanted to do outside show business and interior designing.”
