Hundreds of Filipinos braved the blazing sun last Saturday (October 5) to catch the stars of ABS-CBN's noontime variety program, It's Showtime, live at the Quezon Memorial Circle.
The special live episode, which was open to the public, was part of the two-day Grand Kapamilya Weekend that is in celebration of the network's 60 years in Philippine television.
Prepping the crowd for a high-energy, power-packed show, regular host Billy Crawford exclaimed, "Dapat lamang natin ipagdiwang ang araw na ito na napakalaki at maipagmamalaki. Kaya dapat iparinig niyo sa amin ang 60 years of energy. Make some noise, madlang people!" Madlang People is a term used in the show to refer to its audience.
The network's top executives including president Charo Santos-Concio, ABS-CBN broadcast head Cory Vidanes, and TV production head direk Laurenti Dyogi were also present to join the star-studded celebration.
