In ABS-CBN's afternoon teleserye Tubig At Langis, the characters of Cristine Reyes and Vivian Velez are often in conflict.
This is because Conching (Vivian) does not approve of single mom Irene (Cristine) as the wife of her son Natoy (Zanjoe Marudo).
However, it seems that the show is an example of Oscar Wilde's philosophy: "Life imitates Art far more than Art imitates Life."
For Cristine and Vivian, their conflict has extended offscreen as well.
Just recently, Vivian admitted that she had a spat with the show's lead actress who offended her.
This led to Vivian "irrevocably resigning" from the Kapamilya show.
