Agham Theatre Company is set to re-stage the play Alamaton October 8 and 9 at the Music Museum. This dance-drama musical playtells the story of Daniel and his friends who are lost in the forest. Theyexperience unexplained happenings around Orkidya, a magical place inspired by the paintings of Salvador Dali and Magritte.
Alamat was conceptualized by Patrick Almaden.It was originally staged at the Makati Parks and Garden Amphitheatre, based on ascript spiced with contemporary lingo.
The music composed by Paulo Almaden uses acousticsounds interspersed with ethnicity to create a fusion of music and art thatmake up the production. The dances, blocking, and movements are surreal aswell, with movements taken from nature and animal entities.
Alamat, helmed by creative directors Agnes Macabuhay-Medina and Osler Ladia, takes center stage again this October 2007 at the Music Museum.
