Pagkatapos sumabak bilang closet gay sa pelikulang My Father, My Self, gaganap si Jake Cuenca bilang pornstar sa stage play na Dick Talk ng V-Roll Media Ventures.
Sa direksyon ni Direk Phil Noble, ito ay ang counter-part ng play na Vagina Monologue. Kasama sa cast sina Archie Adamos, Gold Aceron, Nil Nodalo, at Mikoy Morales.
Nakapanayam ng PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) si Jake sa cast pictorial ng Dick Talk, na ginanap sa Blanc Studio noong January 25, 2023.
Kilala na hindi umuurong pagdating sa paggawa ng sexy scenes kung kinakailangan sa role, tinanong si Jake kung may frontal nudity siya sa play na tiyak na ikagugulat ng manonood.
"I have the freedom to do so if I want to. Direk and I talked about it. I just don't wanna feel like a party trick that people will come, watch and see me if I will take off my clothes.
“I like the fact that he gave me the freedom that it's up to me in the end if I want to.
“If the performance is good enough, we can leave it like that. But if I feel that it needs that, I can also. It's a very dangerous play and I'm excited,” sagot ni Jake.
Sabay pabiting sabi niya, "I think the first show would be telling. Pag ginawa ko na sa first show sa opening night, then I have to do it all the way through...
“But I think the wildness in me will come out, so we'll see. Maganda naman for opening night or for the audience is there is gonna be something unpredictable, coz I don't even know what I'm gonna do."

JAKE ON HIS ROLE AS A PORNSTAR
Ibinahagi rin ng Kapamilya actor na maganda ang kuwento ng karakter niya bilang laos na pornstar na puno ng machismo.
“My name here is Peter North. I am an over-the-hill porn actor who is trying to find a normal life after porn, which is the challenge kasi, siyempre, he’s so known and may stigma chasing him, e.
“Parang he’s a sex symbol. Everyone knows the scandal, everyone knows his pornography. He's a guy na masasabi ko, had this been in the '80s or the ‘90s pasok na pasok siya.
“But he's in the 2000’s now, na iba na ang mga lalake ngayon. Di ka na puwedeng magsalita ng ganyan, di ka na puwedeng kumilos ng ganyan.
“And that's why I'm excited. I know a lot of people like this, in fact some of our family members where are this na we're just adjusting to the time. That's why I really fell in love with this role kasi para siyang na-stuck dun sa lumang panahon, e.”
Ayon kay Jake, nakailang script reading pa lang ang cast para sa play pero na-challenge siya agad kung paano bibigyang buhay ang isang lalakeng gaya ni Peter.
"I was reading this and I was fleshing it out with Direk Phil. Sabi ko the thing kasi with him [my role Peter], ito yung height ng masculine toxicity, male chauvinistic pig.
“Male chauvinistic pig na, ‘E, ganito kaming mga lalake, e anong gagawin niyo? Ganito talaga buhay, e, lahat ng mga lalake ginagawa ito.’ That's him.
“Pero once you get a closer look and get to know him better, then you'll see this thing of being a pornstar he's proud of is also his curse.
“It's also the one thing na pinanghahawakan ko na di ninyo mahahawakan lahat. It's also the same reason [that’s] making me depressed, not fulfilled and unsatisfied with life."
JAKE ON CHALLENGE OF CRAFTING HIS NEW ROLE
Tinanong din si Jake kung paano niya pinaghahandaan ang emosyonal at pisikal na requirements sa live performances niya sa Dick Talk.
"I don't really worry about the emotional aspect, I think when it comes to the emotional side of, like, every role, I've already proven to myself that I can get there emotionally.
“But what's more important for me is how I craft this character [in a way that it will be] very different from all the characters I've done in the past.
“So emotionally, it is not a challenge anymore. I know that I can cry, I know that I can get mad, I know I can be happy. I'm challenging myself in different aspects of my career."
Patuloy niya: "Siyempre, you have to be ready physically. Pero emotionally, I think more than being a pornstar, ine-equate ko rin kasi siya sa pagiging artista.
“All actors have been there, parang feeling mo laos ka na, or feeling mo wala na.
"So, for me, rather than focus on that aspect of it which is being a pornstar, I'm more focused on what he is experiencing, kung paano na siya nakundisyon ng mga nangyari sa kanya.
“That's more of the challenge kasi [playing a] pornstar is easy kasi ganun din ang artista, you're sikat then nalaos ka, certain things like that."
