For the second installment of the Midsummer Nyts Hap'nins series of PETA (Philippine Educational Theater Association), learn how to do standup comedy under the guidance of veteran comedians.
This Friday, April 11, take part in the Comedy Improv Nyt with the Philippine Playhouse. Laugh and learn from some of the best in improvisational comedy theater performances. Try it out, go as wild as you can, and who knows, before the night is over, you'll be cracking improvs like a professional!
Tickets to Midsummer Nyts Hap'nins are PhP200, inclusive of one drink. Bar opens for dinner and happy hour at 6 pm, entertainment begins at 9 pm. Get to enjoy a free makeover session with the stylists of the Australian College of Hair Design and Beauty. Midsummer Nyts Hap'nins also features Women's Cabaret on April 18 and Carnivale Nyt on April 25.

ENCUENTRO FILIPINO. Another offering of PETA for this weekend is the two-night concert of the Loboc Children's Choir (LCC). Bohol's pride, the LCC enthralls audiences with music from 19th century Philippines on Saturday and Sunday (April 12 and 13). Encuentro Filipino, the Manila concert showcases our Filipino-Spanish heritage with Filipino folk and contemporary classics.
The guests of the Loboc Children's Choir are the Mandaluyong Children's Choir (April 12, 3pm), UP Cherubims (April 12, 7:30pm), The Ateneo Chamber Singers (April 13, 3pm) and the UP Singing Ambassadors (April 13, 7:30pm).
Tickets are available at P1,000, P700 and P500. Proceeds from the concert will be donated to the restoration of the Loboc Church (a National Heritage site) and for the scholarship fund for these talented young Boholanos.
