First health and wellness film festival kicks off in Quezon City from December 12-13

Overall event coordinator Cris Pablo (in photo) explains the rationale behind the country's first health and wellness film festival, to be staged at the Quezon Memorial Circle from December 12-13: “Through this festival na suportado ng Quezon City government, we hope that our national government will start to invest in the health of its people, since at the bottom line, they are the backbone of our economy.”

Magaganap ang kauna-unahang LoveLife! Health, Beauty and Wellness International Film Festival on December 12 and 13 sa QCX Interactive Museum sa loob ng Quezon City Memorial Circle, Elliptical Road, Diliman, Quezon City.

“Our organizing company is LoveLife Project for Health and Environment Inc.

“Naniniwala kami sa holistic approach to health.

“A few years ago, I had this experience na lagi akong nakakaramdam ng pagkahingal.

“Every week lagi akong nasa emergency room.

“We should all be mindful of the food we eat at kung paano nape-prepare ito. It’s investing in a healthy lifestyle.

“Through this festival na suportado ng Quezon City government, we hope that our national government will start to invest in the health of its people, since at the bottom line, they are the backbone of our economy.”

FIRST OF ITS KIND.

Pagklaro ni Connie, “It’s really the project of Direk Cris, who also directs our show, Pinoy M.D.

“When he pitched it to us, we are all for it. Kasi ako, I am really for it kasi ang advocacy namin ay health and wellness.

“We want to help promote a healthy lifestyle. Like eating the right kind of food, dieting and exercising. We want to walk the talk.

“All age groups should be aware of this.

Actually all the government hospitals are here like Philippine Heart Center, Lung Center, National Kidney and Transplant Institute, as well as the major hospitals.

“So it’s best to start it in QC and eventually, it can make rounds of different cities in Metro Manila.

“It’s all about being safe—pagkain, medicine and anything that involves health.

“And what’s good about it is that tayo ang mauuna sa ganitong klaseng festival. Wala pang ganitong type of festival sa ibang bansa.

PROGRAM OF EVENTS.
