Stevie Nicholson, former Hi-5 member, returns to the Philippines with a new book and a new group called the Superdudes.
Superdudes is an illustrated book created by Stevie Nicholson himself, allowing children to create an imaginary world and express themselves through the pages.
The characters of the book like Pencil Pirate (who is also the illustrator), Flutterby, Bubble Trouble and Superdude Stevie were brought to life by actors, including Nicholson himself.
The book launch held at the Century City Mall was enjoyed by kids and kids at heart. The Superdudes entertained Pinoys by performing a song number and interacting with fans during the book signing.
During the event, the members of the Superdudes answered questions from their adorable fans.
When asked what was unique about their show, Stevie answered, “There is no show like the Superdudes. We let children come up on stage and not only do we let them come on stage, but we are also in the audience engaging with them.
“In my 10 years I’ve been performing for children but never this type of interaction, the opportunity to sit down and meet the parents, the children, get to know them, you know?”
The group hinted that they might have a TV show and album in the future, due to requests from kids and parents alike.
The event ended with in a fun frenzy as the kids and their parents posed for selfies with the Superdudes.
The Superdudes will conduct a show and VIP workshop on April 16, 2016 at the Century City Mall in Makati City. These are scheduled at 1:30 PM, 3:30 PM and 5:30 PM.
