Lea Salonga will be presenting an award at the 71st Annual Tony Awards this Sunday, June 11 (US time) at the Radio City Hall in New York City.
The Tony Awards is best known as Broadway’s biggest night with the ceremony celebrating the excellence of Broadway Theatre.
Lea was honored by the community back in 1991 when she won the Tony Award for Best Lead Actress in a Musical for celebrated role as Kim in Miss Saigon.
This made The Voice Philippines coach the first Asian artist to win a Tony Award.
Lea expressed her excitement for the weekend’s festivities on Facebook and Twitter earlier today, June 7.
She posted, “I’m leaving on a jet plane tonight… FOR THIS!!! It’s official, I'll be presenting at the Tony Awards this Sunday, June 11! It's theater's biggest night, and I am thrilled to be heading there!!!”

The internationally-acclaimed performer also couldn’t wait to meet up with her fellow Broadway artist.

Lea tweeted a shout out to Rachel Bloom, the showrunner and star of the US hit television show Crazy Ex-Girlfriend where Lea guest-starred in during the series’ season one finale.
The Broadway artist also posted a tweet addressing Lin-Manuel Miranda, multi-awarded Tony Award winner best known for his work on the ground-breaking musical Hamilton.

Lea even fangirled when she found out Star Wars’ Mark Hamill a.k.a Luke Skywalker will be among the celebrity presenters of the evening.

The Tony Awards 2017 will be hosted by multi-awarded Hollywood actor Kevin Spacey.
