After its successful run in November last year, Tanghalang Pilipino brings back Mga Gerilya sa Powell Street for a limited run from January 23to February 1, 2009 at the CCP Tanghalang Huseng Batute.

This restaging of Mga Gerilya sa Powell Street features outstanding performances by the original cast as well as new cast members, Peewee O'Hara and Crispin Pineda.
Mga Gerilya ng Powell Street is a novel by Benjamin Pimentel Jr. about Filipino World War II veterans who availed of American citizenship. They become daily habitués of San Francisco's Powell Street who dream and talk about of their return back home to the Philippines. Their heart-rending yet sometimes comical stories will find their way onstage in playwright Rody Vera's stage adaptation under the direction of Chris Millado. It is part of the 22nd theater season of Tanghalang Pilipino, which also includes the plays Golden Child and Ganito Kami Noon, Paano Kayo Ngayon?
