Migui Moreno will take part in Gantimpala’s Summer Drama Workshop


Migui Moreno (in photo) will take part in Gantimpala Theater’s summer drama workshop, which will run from April 5 - May 15, 2010.


Actor Migui Moreno, participates in this year’s Gantimpala Theater Summer Drama Workshop, which is slated on April 5 - May 15, at the Rehearsal Hall, Open Air Auditorium Building, in Luneta, Manila.


Migui, was last seen on the Gantimpala Theater stage playing the lead role of Florante in Florante at Laura, and Tony in New Yorker in Tondo.

He is an actor for commercials, television and film. Currently, he is seen in Kroko: Takas sa Zoo, showing daily in IBC-Channel 13, from 6:30 pm to 7 pm.

"It is important that one must continue to learn and improve on his craft, and theater, is the best place to learn and grow as an actor, " he says.

The Gantimpala Theater Summer Drama workshop offers two modules for its participants: Basic Acting and Acting in Musical Theater. This is the 33rd year that the company is holding this annual activity.

Gantimpala Theater is one of the most reputable theater companies in the Philippines today. It produces the Four Classics, the National Artist Production Series, the Biennial Pearl Festival, and English classics. Artistic Director is Tony S. Espejo.

Classes are every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, from 1 pm to 5 pm., with a culminating recital slated on May 15 at the Open Air Auditorium. Facilitator is Roeder Camañag.

Other celebrities who expressed interest to be part of the Gantimpala Theater Summer Workshop are Fame Flores, Jao Mapa, Aiza Marquez, and Arron Villaflor.
