La Diva will perform for the Magayon Festival: Conciertong Pasasalamat on May 10

On May 10, 2012 GMA Network is set to end its participation in this year’s Magayon Festival with a bang by offering a night of soulful music with Party Pilipinas’ La Diva taking centerstage in the Conciertong Pasasalamat (Closing Concert) at the Albay Astrodome.

The La Diva – composed of Aicelle Santos, Maricris Gutierrez and Jonalyn Viray who are all products of GMA’s talent search Pinoy Pop Superstar -- are sure to delight Kapuso supporters from the province of Albay with their production numbers.

“We are all excited to perform for our supporters in Bicol. Marami kaming inihandang mga song numbers para sa kanila na tiyak ikatutuwa nila,” says Jonalyn.

“Excited din kami that we will get the chance to promote our show, Party Pilipinas, to all Kapusong Albayanons,” adds Aicelle.

For her part, Maricris says, “ sana masiyahan sila sa pagbisita namin sa kanila as much as we're looking forward to visit their beautiful province.”

The Kapuso Network's participation in this year's Magayon festivities started last April 10 with the Concietro sa Magayon (Opening Concert), which featured heartwarming performances from Legacy cast members Sam Pinto and Mike Tan.

It was followed by the search for the “Ginoo ng Magayon” held on the evening of April 14. Present during the Pageant Night was beauty queen Gwendoline Ruais.

Hiram Na Puso star Bela Padilla also graced the “Magayon Festival: Basketball Tournament” with her presence. It was held last April 15 at the Tobaco City Plaza.

“Our Kapusong Albayanons are very dear to us. And we are very thankful for the opportunities given to us by the local government to join in the celebration of the province’s Magayon Festival,” says Oliver Amoroso, Assistant Vice President for Regional TV.

The highlights of the Magayon Festival can be seen on May 6 via the TV Special airing on all eight (8) regional stations of the Network in Naga, Dagupan, Cebu, Iloilo, Bacolod, Cagayan de Oro, Davao, and General Santos.
