Marian Rivera, Kris Bernal, Aljur Abrenica and other GMA-7 stars will join Peñafrancia 2013

"As the whole of Bicolandia along with thousands of devotees and tourists honor Our Lady of Peñafrancia, GMA proudly participates in this year’s celebration of the Peñafrancia Festival as three of its most prized stars—primetime queen Marian Rivera and the royal couple of drama Kris Bernal and Aljur Abrenica—visit the Pilgrim City of Naga.

"On September 22, Naga gets a treat from no less than GMA’s primetime queen Marian Rivera together with My Husband’s Lover’s Bettina Carlos and TV host-comedian Boobay. A Kapuso Fans’ Day with Marian takes place in Plaza Quezon, Naga City, at 6pm.

"The Network’s participation kicked off last Thursday, September 19, when the cast of GMA’s newest inspirational drama series Prinsesa ng Buhay Ko topbilled by Kris and Aljur, joined the Peñafrancia Festival’s Civic Parade. Both were aboard the Kapuso float with co-stars LJ Reyes, Lian Paz, and the freshest addition to the Kapuso family, Renz Fernandez. Their float cruised from the Panganiban Drive to Plaza Quezon.

"Next stop for the Prinsesa ng Buhay Ko cast was a Kapuso Barangayan hosted by Day Off’s Mike “Pekto” Nacua. Fans from Pili, Camarines Sur got the chance to see Kris, Aljur, LJ, Lian, and Renz in person at the Pili Sports Complex.

"GMA Bicol’s News and Public Affairs also offered live coverage of various activities throughout the festival. Last Thursday, the Peñafrancia Festival Civic Parade Special Flash Bulletin aired from 8:25am to 10am. The next day, Friday, the Peñafrancia Festival Military Parade Special Flash Bulletin aired on the same time slot. While yesterday, Saturday, An Divocion Ki Ina (Devotion to Our Mother), GMA Bicol’s special live coverage of the fluvial procession along the Naga River, aired from 4:45pm to 5:30pm.

"A full feature of GMA’s participation in the Peñafrancia Festival will be seen on Let's Fiesta TV Special which airs on October 6 via the Network’s regional stations in Bicol, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Dagupan, Ilocos, GenSan, Bacolod, and CDO."
