GMA Network’s Jose Mari Abacan serves as juror in the 41st International Emmy Awards

GMA Network’s Vice President for Program Management Jose Mari R. Abacan was chosen to be part of the esteemed panel of jurors in the 41st International Emmy Awards held on November 25 in New York City.

Abacan served as one of the jurors for the Final Round of Judging for the Comedy category where he evaluated entries from South Africa, United Kingdom, France and Brazil. Abacan also participated as a juror in the Final Round of Judging for the comedy category in 2011, and in 2010 and 2007 for the TV Movie/Mini Series category.

Abacan was chosen by the Academy's Committee to recognize excellence in the best television programs produced outside the United States where he was granted online access to the nominated programs.

Considered as the Oscars of the TV industry, the International Emmy Awards is an annual event organized by The International Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, a membership based organization comprised of leading media and entertainment figures from over 50 countries and 500 companies from all sectors of television including internet, mobile and technology.
