(UPDATED) Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy reaches P200 million mark in the box-office

In Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy, Vice Ganda brings life to four different persons who are all children of the character of Maricel Soriano (right).

According to Star Cinema, the Metro Manila Film Fest entry Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy grossed P200 million as of noontime of December 30, 2013. The comedy film premiered last Christmas Day, December 25.

In his official Twitter account, GBBT lead star Vice Ganda posted on December 30: "#GirlBoyBaklaTomboy has just reached the 200Million mark earlier today. Maraming maraming salamat po MadlangPeople!!! Deserve nating tumawa!"

Vice Ganda also thanked moviegoers who gave positive feedback on the comedy film, which also stars Maricel Soriano, Joey Marquez, and Ruffa Gutierrez, among others.

"Salamat po at pinanuod nyo ang #GirlBoyBaklaTomboy! At MAS maraming salamat po at PINURI nyo pa matapos nyong panoorin. Nakakataba ng puso."

During the Gabi ng Parangal of MMFF 2013, Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy earned three trophies.

The Best Actress award went to Maricel Soriano for portraying the mother of quadruplets (played by Vice Ganda).

Directed by Wenn Deramas, this comedy film also won the Most Gender-Sensitive Film award and the 2nd Best Picture award.

On the first day of MMFF 2013, it was revealed that another comedy movie, My Little Bossings, emerged as the most-watched movie on the first day of the film festival.

On December 25, the No. 2 spot went to Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy; the third spot went to horror film Pagpag, Siyam na Buhay; and the No. 4 spot went to Kimmy Dora (Ang Kiyemeng Prequel).
