Vic Sotto on MMFF box-office ranking: “'Yong number one or number two, that's very petty para sa akin."

Vic Sotto offers a three-part movie, My Big Bossing, for the 2014 Metro Manila Film Festival. The three episodes are titled Sirena, Taktak, and Prinsesa. Marian Rivera (top frame) will join Vic and Ryzza Mae Dizon in Taktak while Nikki Gil (bottom frame) and child star Alonzo Muhlach will join the Prinsesa episode.

Vic Sotto will never get tired of producing comedy movies as long as the public are being entertained by their products.

This 2014, Vic is once again joining the annual Metro Manila Film Festival with the movie My Big Bossing.

“Every time I do something, especially if it's something new, I enjoy it, ” said Vic Sotto in an interview during the press conference of the movie.

His movie offering this year is different because, according to Vic, “Enjoy kami dahil tatlong direktor, iba-iba.

Since this is a trilogy, Vic was asked if the budget for My Big Bossing is bigger.

Vic did not directly answer the question. Instead, he said, “It doesn't matter. Gastos lang 'yan. Kikitain mo rin 'yan. Wala 'yon, bale wala 'yon.”

As for the float to be used in the annual MMFF Parade, Vic quipped: "Tatlong set ng cast ito...Baka tatlong karosa kami."

BOX OFFICE HIT. Every year, Vic is asked if he's expecting their MMFF 2014 entry to be the number one in the box office.

With this, his consistent answer is, “Hindi ko iniisip 'yan.”

“Every year, I'm being asked if I'm going to be a number one, every year din naman ang aking sagot ay hindi ko pinapansin ang numero.

“It's just a number.

“'Yong number one or number two, that's very petty para sa akin.

Despite this, Vic remains confident about My Big Bossing.

I can vouch for that.”

He also stressed in the end, “Palagay ko kasi magaganda ang stories ngayon—may comedy, may horror comedy, a very heartwarming story.”

THREE-PART MOVIE. My Big Bossing is composed of three episodes: the fantasy Sirena, the horror-comedy Taktak, and the family story Prinsesa.

Marian Rivera joins Vic in the Taktak episode wherein she portrays a executive producer seeking for the truth.

Vic said about his leading lady: "Bagay na bagay kay Marian yung role na sa umpisa, nagkainisan kami as parehong journalists.

The Prinsesa episode will feature Nikki Gil, Zoren Legaspi, Sef Cadayona, and Buboy Garovillo. Child star Alonzo Muhlach will also appear in this episode along with his father Niño Muhlach.

Vic says about the Prinsesa episode: "Si Ms Nikki ang reyna doon, asawa niya si Zoren Legaspi.

How does Vic ensure that they come out on top during the annual Metro Manila Film Fest?

The TV host-comedian pointed out: "We always try to come up with something na magugustuhan ng buong pamilya.

"We have to cater to all ages. We make sure there's something for kids, for teenagers, sa magulang, sa lolo't lola."

How did they come up with this three-part movie?

"Ang unang gusto naming gawin yung Sirena. Kasi original script nun dapat sa sa Vampire ng Daddy Ko [his weekend comedy show on GMA-7].

"Pangarap niya [Ryzza] kasi maging sirena.

Ginawa lang namin to a bigger scope.

At this point, Vic (who is one of the producers) decided to turn My Big Bossing into a three-part movie in order to accommodate all of their story ideas.

"Pati budget, parang tatlong pelikula ang ginawa namin."
