Praybeyt Benjamin 2 earns P172 million while Feng Shui grosses P88 million in four days

As of December 28, 2014, Praybeyt Benjamin and Feng Shui earned P260 million in four days. Vice Ganda and Tom Rodriguez (top frame) are part of The Amazing Praybeyt Benjamin while Kris Aquino and Coco Martin (bottom frame) lead the cast of Feng Shui 2.

Kris Aquino expressed gratitude for those who supported her latest movie, Feng Shui 2, as well as the movie of her son Bimby, The Amazing Praybeyt Benjamin.

The TV host-actress made special mention of her ex-husband James Yap.

During the December 28 episode of The Buzz, Kris took this opportunity to thank James for attending the block screening of Praybeyt Benjamin 2, which is topbilled by Vice Ganda.

“Thank you to James and Tita Mic. Effort yun on their part. Kasi when I text James, I said, ‘Please bring Tita Mic kasi Bimb likes her.’ Um-effort na pumunta in a territory that’s not really yours,” said Kris, referring to James' girlfriend Michela Cazzola.

Kris described James as “supportive."

The ABS-CBN actress added that she feel content knowing that they she and her ex-husband are now on good terms with each other.

"Kapag ganun ang nararamdaman mo, supportive sa anak ko, okay na. Kampante ka na maganda ito. Move on.”

It will be recalled that James Yap postponed his flight to Negros in order to watch the block screening of Bimby's movie on Christmas Day.

President Noynoy Aquino, the uncle of Bimby, also took the time to watch his nephew's second MMFF movie.

BOX-OFFICE GROSS. During the opening segment of The Buzz, Toni Gonzaga reported that the eight official entries of the 40th Metro Manila Film Festival were able to gross over P180 million during its first days.

"182 million overall ang kinita ng lahat ng entries," said Toni.

Kris disclosed that as of December 27, "P157 million ang Praybeyt then P83 million ang Feng Shui."

Later on, Kris, one of the co-producers of Feng Shui 2 revealed that this horror movie already earned P88 million in the box office as of 3 p.m. on Sunday, December 28.

Meanwhile, The Amazing Praybeyt Benjamin earned P172 million as of December 28.

The two Star Cinema films had a combined total of P260 million, four days after the December 25 opening of MMFF 2014.

Feng Shui, a sequel of the 2004 blockbuster hit, also stars Coco Martin as the new owner of the deadly bagua.

On the other hand, Praybeyt Benjamin 2, also stars Richard Yap, Alex Gonzaga and Tom Rodriguez.
