My Bebe Love earns P60.5 million on opening day; beats Vice Ganda record

The first movie of Alden Richards and Maine “Yaya Dub" Mendoza has grossed almost P60.5 million on its opening day.

My Bebe Love earned P60,462,169.57 on December 25, according to a report of GMANetwork.com.

AlDub Nation showed its strong support for the AlDub love team who co-starred with Vic Sotto and Ai-Ai delas Alas in this 2015 Metro Manila Film Festival entry directed by Joey Reyes.

Citing initial reports from GMA Films, it is revealed that in Metro Manila, ticket sales amounted to over P33 million, while over P27 million came from provincial cinemas.

My Bebe Love's box-office figure of almost P60.5 million is now considered the highest opening gross among all Filipino films of all time.

During the 2014 edition of MMFF, Vice Ganda's The Amazing Praybeyt Benjamin held the previous record at P53 million.

In an earlier report, it was indicated that My Bebe Love was the highest-grossing movie last December 25 in SM Cinemas, the biggest cinema chain in the Philippines.
