MNL 143, starring Joy Viado and Alan Paule, will be shown in SM Cinemas this December

Reserve 12-12-12 for Emerson Reyes's first full length film MNL 143.

The controversial film, which was removed from the 8th Cinemalaya festival after a casting dispute, will be screened in select cinemas starting December 12, 2012.

Participating cinemas include Megamall, Iloilo, Manila, Cebu, Bacoor, Southmall, Sta. Mesa, and North EDSA branches.

MNL 143 stars Alan Paule and Joy Viado. In an exclusive interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), Robbie Tan of Cinemalaya explained that the organizing committee disqualified Direk Emerson's entry because he insisted on maintaining Alan and Joy as the lead stars of the film. As a result, Direk Emerson continued with the project even without funding from Cinemalaya.
