The New York Times describes Arnel Pineda as a "delightfully upbeat person with a serviceable voice”

Pinalabas ito sa Tribeca Film Festival in New York noong 2012.

Ayon sa The Hollywood Reporter, the docu-film “has an undeniable emotional pull thanks to its fairy tale-like narrative.”

Ang review naman ng Film Journal International: “Don't Stop Believin' ultimately succeeds through the sheer miraculousness of its Cinderella story, and its portrait of a supportive and admirably grown-up group of musicians who appear, at least, to be free of destructive ego.”

Rotten Tomatoes by Flixters gave it 4 and ½ stars and reviewed it as “Don't Stop Believin' gets a boost from new singer Arnel Pineda's charming personality.”

From The Film School Rejects: “Pineda is very likable, both on screen and on the soundtrack, and there are a number of interesting aspects to his story before and after he joined Journey.”

Sa March 7 review ng The New York Times, 4 stars ang binigay na rating sa naturang documentary. Ayon sa review na may title na "Plucked From Obscurity, and Now a Star!" ang Filipino singer na si Arnel ay inilarawan ng ganito: “Pineda comes across as a delightfully upbeat person with a serviceable voice.”

“I thought it was a scam,” ani Pineda sa kanyang interview sa Yahoo Music.

Pineda just turned 40 years old noong matanggap niya ang naturang e-mail.

“Where I come from, it would be crazy to just believe an e-mail like that… but my friend, the one who uploaded my live video performances on YouTube, he was pretty persistent. He was certain that the email was for real.”

“I thought, this is too good to be true,” ani Pineda sa programang USA Today.

“I was afraid at first because I might be compared to Steve Perry. Plus the fact that I'm so short and so Asian! They taught me how to be brave—how to be confident.”

Ni-recall pa ni Pineda ang unang big show niya with Journey. Isang concert sa Chile with more than 2,000 fans na naghihintay sa concert venue.

“After peeking out from behind the curtain, I went back to the band and said, 'Can I just go home? I don't think I can do this!'" But Neal said, 'Too late, brother!'” tawa pa ni Pineda.

“I represent the kids in the Philippines. Kids around the world, especially in Third World countries, we have dreams. I'm living my dreams.

“We're selling hope. Dreams, they do come true. Miracles can overcome misery and hardship,” pagtatapos pa ni Arnel Pineda.
