Kris Aquino says that she will be a stage mother to her son Bimby while he shoots for his upcoming movie Torky and My Little Bossing.
"Yung trabaho malapit nang magpahinga ng kaunti kasi gagawa ng movie si Bimby so mag-i-stage mother muna ako. Magbabantay lang dun," said the TV host-actress who will be on vacation for the month of July.
Jason Gainza impersonated Bandila newscast host Boy Abunda as he interviewed Kris for the "Ihaw Na" segment of ABS-CBN's comedy show Banana Nite.
Kris looked back on her days as a movie actress and revealed that she wants to focus on being a movie producer for now.
In the past, Kris was tagged as the Massacre Queen because of the massacre movies that she shot in the past.
Which massacre movie is most memorable for her?
"Di ba sinasabi nila na kung sino ang una, yun ang sinusundan ng lahat? What started it all was Vizconde Massacre," referring to the 1993 Carlo J. Caparas movie wherein Kris played Carmela Vizconde.
Did she ask for time off to take care of her son Bimby?
She explained: "I asked for the entire July off kasi bakasyon ni Bimby. Ang sinusundan nilang school system ang American so ang bakasyon niya ay middle of May to second week of August. Bonding at tutok talaga ako kay Bimb and Josh."
In 2007, Edu Manzano replaced Kris Aquino in hosting the game show Pilipinas, Game Ka Na Ba?
With regards to Edu, Kris pointed out: "Edu was good. Iba naman kasi ang flavor niya kasi mas naging comic sa kanya at mayroon siyang 'Papaya' song na pinasikat. My God, mamamatay muna ako bago ako pasayawin. Maglakad nga lang, nadadapa na ako, pasayawin pa?"
In 2012, Luis Manzano became the replacement of Kris in the game show Kapamilya Deal or No Deal.
If she could pick one of them as the better, who would she choose?
"Basing it sa edad, sobrang galing na ni Luis," she said directly. "I think any parent naman ma-pa-proud sa na-achieve ng anak.
"I think even Edu would say na ibibigay niya ang trono kay Luis kasi magaling talaga si Luis. Magaling, masipag at higit sa lahat business partner ko ngayon."
Earlier this year, Kris agreed to be part of the business being run by Luis Manzano.
"May mga taxi kami," revealed Kris. "Nag-invest ako sa mga taxi niya. Nagsimula si Luis sa three taxis three-and-a-half years ago. Ngayon, naging 140 then pagkatapos ng investment na ininfuse ko, by the end of the year, we will have 200."
Going back to her movies, Kris was paired with the late comedian Rene Requiestas for the 1990 movie Pido Dida.
How was it like working with the comedian known as Chitae?
"Mabait siya talagang tao. Parang nag full circle..."
Kris pointed out that her son Bimby and Ryzza Mae Dizon will star in a comedy film that can be considered a follow-up to the movie that she starred in with Rene Requiestas.
"Ang movie kasi na gagawin nila based sa movie na Pido Dida pero [set in] 2013.
"From 1990 to now so 23 years after," said Kris.

After being known for massacre movies, Kris also became famous for horror films, especially the box-office hit Feng Shui.
Why did Kris become known for these horror flicks?
"Nagkataon na ako ang unang gumawa at ipagpapasalamat ko yan kay Juday [Judy Ann Santos] kasi she turned it down.
"In-offer kay Judy Ann at tinanggihan ni Tito Alfie [Lorenzo, Juday's manager] kasi ibang leading man ang gusto nila.
"Then in-offer ni Direk Chito [Roño] sa akin. That was already nine years ago.
"At that time, ang tagal-tagal ko nang hindi gumagawa ng movie. Naging hit then nagkaroon sila ng tiwala sa akin at nagtuloy-tuloy."
Kris mentioned that she wants to veer away from horror flicks since she wants to be a movie producer for now.
In the 9th edition of Cinemalaya, Kris is one of the producers of Instant Mommy. Starring Eugene Domingo and Japanese actor Yuki Matsuzaki, this comedy film is competing in the New Breed category of Cinemalaya.
Written and directed by Leo Abaya, this film is co-produced by Chris Martinez and Atty. Joji Alonso.
