John Lloyd Cruz recalls misunderstanding with Sarah Geronimo while shooting wedding scene for their previous movie

John Lloyd Cruz considers his movies with Sarah Geronimo as “magical moments.” However, during his wedding scene with Sarah Geronimo for the movie It Takes a Man and a Woman, he recalled: "Nag-away pa kami ni Sarah."

Alanganin pang sinagot ng Kapamiya aktor, “It’s always magical. Kasi iba-iba sila, e.

“You know, I have my movies with Bea and I have my movies with Sarah.

“Pero especially now, medyo nag-mature, nag-evolve na into maturity ‘yong role na pino-portray namin ni Bea.

“I guess, it will be safe and reasonable to say na ‘yong mga movies ko with Sarah, they’re the ones giving the kilig, the magical moment, ‘yong ganung type, rom-com.”

Sina John Lloyd at Sarah ay nagsama sa romantic-comedy movies na A Very Special Love (2008), You Changed My Life (2009), at It Takes a Man and a Woman (2013).

Para kay John Lloyd, “The last one of it, yun ‘yong fully magical because it made history, for one.

“It’s the only rom-com movie that reached part three. So, that’s one.

“When we were filming it, wala talagang high hopes na it’s gonna make a lot of money. Apparently, it made a lot of money.”

“Hindi siya naging madali for all of us, for Sarah and my director [Cathy Garcia-Molina].

“In fact, nag-away pa kami ni Sarah.

Pagkatapos sinabi ni John Lloyd, “It was just magical na within the day itself, siguro in a matter of three to five hours, nagkabati kami and we were able to deliver a very good scene doon sa wedding scene.”

Ani John Lloyd, “Well, sinabi rin sa akin ni Tita Malou [Santos, managing director Star Cinema] ‘yong through my manager, Tita Mariole [Alberto, Star Magic executive].

“But when I told this person from Star Cinema, she corrected me so, ayaw ko na rin magsalita it’s better to ask my boss or ask Tita Malou.’

Sabi pa ng aktor, “You know, you have to double check with Star Cinema. Iba-iba rin kasi ‘yong ano, e.

“Meron silang sinasabi na parang for the Philippines lang.

“‘Tapos meron ‘yong kapag sinama ‘yong pang-abroad, I don’t know.

“Siguro, the best people to ask is Star Cinema.”

Aniya, mula sa Star Cinema, “Ang narinig kong figure, ang It Takes A Man And A Woman, I think, P383 million; tapos P397 ang Sisterakas."
