The young actress shed tears of joy during the thanksgiving celebration held at the ABS-CBN compound last August 15. According to ABS-CBN News, Kim was emotional as she gave her speech during the celebration.
She was quoted as saying: "Iyong 'Thank you,' maraming napupuntahan 'yon, yung dalawang salitang 'yon.
Kim admitted that she never thought that she could make people laugh.
The Kapamilya actress was very grateful to her director, Joyce Bernal, who effectively assisted her in her portrayal of Sandy. In the movie, Sandy (Kim) has a comical breakdown when her boyfriend (Kean Cipriano) broke up with her. Through the help of Xian's character, Sandy undergoes a makeover that changes her life.
I'm so happy! Bata maraming salamat, and more power and more happiness and more laughter!"
At the thanksgiving party, Kim pointed out to reporters that she was shocked to learn that the film grossed P100 million in less than three weeks after it opened.
She said gratefully, "Masaya ako siyempre.
Bakit Hindi Ka Crush ng Crush Mo marks the first time that she was paired with love team partner Xian Lim on the big screen.
