Three Regal movies invited to two international film festivals

Three Regal-produced movies—Super Noypi (top), ZsaZsa Zaturnnah Ze Moveeh (below), and Manay Po—will be screened in the Tokyo International Cinecity Festival 2007 in Japan and in the Torino GLBT (Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender) Film Festival in Italy.


Hindi lang mga independent movies ang naiimbitahan ng mga international festivals, kundi pati rin ang mga mainstream movies.

Nakatanggap ng dalawang letters of invitation ang Regal Entertainment recently, one from the Tokyo International Cinecity Festival 2007 sa Japan, and the other from the 23rd Torino GLBT (Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender) Film Festival sa Turin, Italy.

Invited ang dalawang 2006 Metro Manila Film Festival entries ng Regal—Super Noypi at ZsaZsa Zaturnnah Ze Moveeh—for the Tokyo International Cinecity Festival 2007 na gaganapin this November 20 sa Tokyo, Japan.

Super Noypi starred Jennylyn Mercado, Mark Herras, Sandara Park, Katrina Halili, Polo Ravales, and John Prats.

Zsa Zsa Zaturnnah Ze Moveeh, on the other hand, starred Zsa Zsa Padilla, Rustom Padilla, Alfred Vargas, and Pops Fernandez.

Invited naman for competition sa Torino GLBT Film Festival (www.turinglfestival.com) ang dalawang gay-themed films ng Regal Films—ZsaZsa Zaturnnah again and Manay Po, both directed by Joel Lamangan. Manay Po starred Cherry Pie Picache, John Prats, Polo Ravales, and Jiro Manio.

Incidentally, may part two na ang Manay Po. Magkakaroon ng story conference and first shooting day next week. Scheduled playdate will be on January 30, 2008.
