Kathryn Bernardo thinks it’s not yet appropriate for her to do a kissing scene in any project.
The young Kapamilya actress, who is celebrating her 18th birthday on March 26, says she’s not yet ready even if she would shoot it with her perennial love team partner Daniel Padilla.
“Huwag muna ‘yong kissing scene. Huwag muna kasi feeling ko it’s too early for me,” she told entertainment reporters during the press conference prepared for her grand debut celebration that will take place on March 29.
She added, “Feeling ko kasi kapag nag-mature roles agad ako baka mukhang pilit, e, kasi hindi ko pa rin maramdaman.”
This is why Kathryn is comfortable doing her next movie project with Daniel titled She’s Dating the Gangster, which is a film adaptation of a young adult romantic novel of the same title.
“Sa She’s Dating the Gangster po, feeling ko for my age pa rin siya,” she said.
Kathryn admitted that there will be some minor changes from its original story.
However, she could not answer if the ending of the story will also be changed.
Kathryn said, “Actually, tinanong ko ‘yan kay Direk Cathy [Garcia] pero hindi pa niya ako masagot about doon sa ending.
“Pero may kailangan siyang baguhin kasi ‘yong iba mas gagawin na more realistic daw.
“So, sa ibang parts ire-revise niya pero ‘yong sa ending, I’m not yet sure.”
According to the website of Summit Media Publishing, She’s Dating the Gangster is based on the online fan fiction created by Bianca Bernardino.
“It tells the heart-wrenching tale of 17-year-old Athena Dizon and campus bad boy Kenji de los Reyes, two teenagers who begin a pretend relationship that ultimately transforms into something deeper.”
