Nineteen tears old si Migo, Fil-Australian, at lumabas sa requel ng Encantadia (2016), Pinoy adaptation ng My Love From The Star (2017), The One That Got Away (2018), at Ika-5 Utos (2018).
MIGO ADECER'S FIRST MOVIE
“I’m scared, to be honest, dahil I’m still trying to work hard pa lang sa teleserye, and I’m still, like, you know, honing my craft.
“'Tapos, bigla... this is my first leading man [role] in a TV series, 'tapos bigla... nagkaroon ng leading man [role] sa movie.
“For me, ahhh, it’s definitely exciting. I consider it as a surprise blessing. Kaya lang, I really think I have to push myself.
“Ahmm, well, I guess... isa pa yun,” matamang saad ni Migo.
“Pero I think, what’s more important is that I’m very invested, and diligent when it comes to reading the script.
“I really know it, front to back. Ahhh, be able to study my lines.
“Start thinking as the character, not as me. And being able na parang absorb the character so that it becomes somewhat second nature.
“I don’t wanna be able to play the character, 'tapos wala akong alam sa buhay niya.
“So I wanna to be able like when I’m on set, alam ko na yung full background story ni Emil," pagtukoy ni Migo sa character niya sa pelikula.
Anong meron sa kanya, o ginawa niya kaya napili siyang leading man sa teleseryeng Sahaya, at leading man din sa pelikulang Black Lipstick?
“I’m not too sure,” malumanay na tugon ni Migo.
“I think it was just... I just made sure na no matter what, I’m gonna pull my weight. What’s expected of me, I’ll bring to the table.
“And if I can give more, then I will give more.
“Ahmm... I’ve just been parang inspired, I guess you can say, to be able to take my job a lot more seriously.
“And I want to show that, for the people who took a chance on me, maraming-maraming salamat talaga.
“So, of course, I started to get to know them better—not on a showbiz level but on a real level.
“Kasi, they’re giving me work, e. So, I want to see the business in a different light.
“Ahmm... well... I guess, nag-start from... it all started from... My Love From The Star,” ani Migo na tinitimbang-timbang ang sasabihin.
“Si Direk Joyce Bernal po, we sat down a lot nung taping na yun. And she was the first person who planted the seed na parang...
“Make sure that you make a mark of who you are, not of someone you aspire to be, but being comfortable in your own personality and show your own uniqueness.
“'Tapos, from there, I was put in The One That Got Away and I saw yung acting techniques nina Rhian Ramos, Max Collins, Lovi Poe, Jason Abalos...
“And I saw how they were, like... how seriously they took their work.
“And then I started playing around since Direk Mark Sicat dela Cruz was giving us the leeway and the responsibility to be able to make our own character.
“Then, yung killer na... Ika-5 Utos. Si Direk Laurice Guillen. She was able to kinda put in my mind yung obligation to work.
“Kasi, she only expects the best out of an artist.
“She won’t get mad if she can see that you’re giving your best.
"But if she sees you’re playing around, you’re parang half-baked ka lang, that’s when she gets mad.
“And that was my first parang heavy drama show.
“And then, I guess, through that, kasi sobrang iba yung genres ng shows, they were able to see, you know, different perspectives of me.
“Like, different areas of parang how I was honing my skill. Diverse, parang ganun.
“And then, parang... yeah, and now, I’m here!”
Pero I’m having trouble when it comes to sexy-sexy.
“Kasi, it’s like I don’t have a sexy vibe in any of my bones. I’m a funny guy!”
“But when it comes to the personality of being sexy, like, yung pan-sexy nina Ryan Gosling... hindi ko kaya!”
Napahalukipkip si Migo habang umiiling-iling, “Nawi-weirdo-han ako!”
Puwede siyang mala-Chris Pratt!
“Puwede naman. Pero I guess not in this age and days since 19 pa lang ako.
"Maybe when I’m 23 or 24 siguro, puwede."
