300 luminaries of Pinoy movies to be honored at Sine Sandaan

Three hundred (300) luminaries ng Pinoy movies ang pagpupugayan sa Sine Sandaan event na gaganapin sa Setyembre 12, Huwebes nng gabi, sa New Frontier Theater, Araneta Center, Cubao, Quezon City.

Tatlong oras ang program proper na kick-off sa 3rd Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino, na hudyat sa pagdiriwang ng 100 Years of Philippine Cinema.

“We’re going to treat the 300 luminaries to an entire night of just thanking them for their contribution,” excited na pahayag ni Film Development Could of the Philippines (FDCP) Chair Liza Diño-Seguerra matapos pumirma ng kontrata with media partner ABS-CBN nitong Setyembre 4, Miyerkules ng gabi, sa 9501 restaurant, ELJCC Bldg., ABS-CBN Compound, QC.

“Meron tayong chauffeured limo na magbababa sa kanila from Novotel.

"Merong two hours na red-carpet ceremonies just to, you know, really get everyone dressed up and enjoy again iyong dating heydays ng Philippine Cinema, na nakabihis lahat.

“Para siyang Oscars, ganyan-ganyan!

"And then we have a cocktail reception where they get to, you know, get together.

“Iyong mga hindi ninyo nakikita sa industriya, like Jaypee de Guzman, isa sa child stars natin noon, isang luminary...

“So, ibinabalik natin iyong mga nagpakinang sa industriya na may not be with us now as active, but has really given so much.”

Sa 300 luminaries na pararangalan, halos lahat daw ay excited na dumalo.

Lahad ni Chair Liza, “Ang message namin sa kanila, ‘This is a once in a lifetime opportunity.’

"Hindi na natin maaabutan ang isa pang 100 Years celebration, and I don’t know if we’ll be alive pa in the next 100 years.

“So, this is the one night that we can celebrate together.”

Inamin ni Chair Liza na kaya sila lumapit sa ABS-CBN ay para pakiusapang i-excuse ang Kapamilya stars para makibahagi sa Sine Sandaan.

“This is just one celebration where we hope na sana, walang taping.

"Kasi, yun ang mga reason. May taping, ganyan,” sambit ni Chair Liza.

“Mukha namang naaayos ng ABS-CBN. We’re very happy for their support.

"We also reached out to GMA. So, sana, ganoon din ang support na ibigay nila for Sine Sandaan.”

Kabilang sa luminaries na inaasahang dadalo sa Sine Sandaan sina Amy Austria, Christopher de Leon, Celia Rodriguez, Dexter Doria, Odette Khan, Manilyn Reynes & Janno Gibbs, Sheryl Cruz & Romnick Sarmenta, Bea Alonzo & John Lloyd Cruz, Judy Ann Santos & Piolo Pascual, Kathryn Bernardo & Daniel Padilla, Ronnie Ricketts, Bong Revilla, Lito Lapid, Robin Padilla, Jeric Raval, Roderick Paulate, Andrew E, Dennis Padilla, Bayani Agbayani, John Lapus, at marami pang iba.

“Hinihintay pa namin si Ate Vi [Vilma Santos], pero si Ate Guy, nag-text na sa amin.

"Nag-send na kami ng letter kay Ate Vi, and we’re still waiting for her answer,” sabi ni Chair Liza.

Siyanga pala, sina Olive Lamasan at Cory Vidanes ang representatives ng Kapamilya Network sa pagpirma ng kasunduan with FDCP para sa pagbo-broadcast ng Sine Sandaan.

Sa unang pagkakataon ay may awards night ang PPP.

Nakatakda ito sa Setyembre 15, Linggo sa One Esplanade.

“The gabi ng parangal will celebrate the festivals of Mindanao,” saad ni Chair Liza.

“And then, of course, may film industry conferences tayo kung saan malalaman natin iyong latest trends na nangyayari sa iba’t ibang bansa in terms of filmmaking and film development.

“And then, may project market, for the first year din namin siya gagawin.

"The project market is a place where a lot of Filipino projects in development can look for funding, investment, distributor, co-producers.

“Eleven projects from Philippines, and five projects from ASEAN ang magiging kalahok.
