A lot of my friends in showbiz when I was growing up was Tita Nida [Blanca] Tita Delia [Razon], Tito Dolphy…” lahad ni Paul sa press conference ng Mañanita, ang pelikulang idinirek niya at pinagbibidahan ni Bela Padilla. Ipapalabas ito sa mga sinehan simula December 4, 2019.

“I grew up with these actors.

“Yung barkada ng lolo ko naging barkada ko rin, so when I started [working as director] I didn’t really know who the younger showbiz stars, pero I know the veterans, so that was an experience for me.”

Sabi pa ni Paul, “I guess I’m just uncomfortable.

“I’m comfortable behind the camera.

“If I really wanted to get into acting, I probably would have done it already, so probably I really have no interest in it.”

Gayunpaman, hindi raw niya tinutuldukan ang pag-arte.

“I haven’t been offered a role that I would like to take a risk, but I’ll never say never.

“I’m the type of person who also wants to take crazy risks.

“But right now, my voice, my passion is behind the camera, telling the actors what to do, collaborating with the actors, writing films, writing stories, producing.

“That’s where I feel at home…”

ON POSSIBILITY OF ACTING WITH TONI

“We’re working everyday on our marriage,” pabirong sagot ng 38-year-old na direktor.

“Again, I don’t wanna say never say never, but I don’t think that’s in the pipeline, whatsoever.

“I directed her na.”

“I actually love producing for her because she has a lot of interesting concepts, ideas, so think we found our professional relationship as producer-actor.

“We really play such big roles in our personal lives we just wanna keep it as personal as possible.”
