Sina Kathryn Bernardo at Alden Richards (kaliwa) ang itinanghal na Phenomenal Stars of Philippine Cinema para sa taong 2019 dahil sa blockbuster film nilang Hello Love Goodbye; habang sina Aga Muhlach at Xia Vigor (kanan) naman ang Box Office King & Queen dahil sa box-office hit nilang Miracle In Cell No. 7.

Sina Kathryn Bernardo at Alden Richards ang itinanghal na Phenomenal Stars of Philippine Cinema sa 51st Box Office Entertainment Awards ng Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Scholarship Foundation (GMMSF).

Ito ay matapos kumita ang pelikula nilang Hello Love Goodbye—na iprinodyus ng Star Cinema—ng P1.3 billion sa nationwide and international sales, base sa published ranking and gross receipts.

Inilabas ng GMMSF ang official list ng winners, para sa taong 2019, ilang linggo pagkatapos ng masusing deliberation ng mga miyembro na ginanap noong January 18, 2020.

Ang napiling Box Office King ay si Aga Muhlach, at Box Office Queen naman ang child actress na si Xia Vigor.

Sina Aga at Xia ay gumanap na mag-ama sa MMFF 2019 top-grossing film na Miracle In Cell No. 7.

Maliban sa pagiging Phenomenal Stars of Philippine Cinema, sina Alden at Kathryn ay hinirang din bilang Film Actor and Actress of the Year.

Katuwang ni Alden sa kategoryang Film Actor of the Year si Aga.

Ang reel-and-real-life couple na sina Enrique Gil at Liza Soberano ang napiling Prince and Princess of Philippine Movies, dahil sa box-office success ng pelikula nilang Alone/Together.

Ito ang unang pagkakataong hindi kabilang si Vice Ganda sa gagawaran ng anumang pagkilala sa Box Office Entertainment Awards.

Sa nakalipas na pitong taon, mula noong 2003, si Vice ang recipient ng titulong Phenomenal Box Office Star.

Bago iyon, ang pinakamataas na karangalan sa Box Office Entertainment Awards ay ang Box Office King & Queen.

Ngunit nagbago iyon dahil sa phenomenal success ng mga pelikula ni Vice sa takilya.

Maliban sa larangan ng pelikula, kinikilala rin ng Box Office Entertainment Awards ang mga nasa larangan ng telebisyon, musika, at maging sa social media.

Ang Kapamilya stars na sina Coco Martin at Angel Locsin ang nagwaging TV Actor and Actress of the Year (Primetime Drama) para sa kanilang mga teleseryeng Ang Probinsyano at The General’s Daughter, respectively.

Sa Daytime Drama category naman, ang itinanghal na TV Actor and Actress of the Year ay sina JM de Guzman (Pamilya Ko) at Dimples Romana (Kadenang Ginto).

Ang The Killer Bride stars na sina Joshua Garcia at Janella Salvador ang nakakuha ng titulong Prince and Princess of Philippine Television.

Sa music category, kabilang sa winners sina Martin Nievera (Male Concert Performer of the Year), Lea Salonga (Female Concert Performer of the Year), Gary Valenciano (Male Recording Artist of the Year), at Regine Velasquez (Female Recording Artist of the Year).

Gaganapin ang awards night ng 51st Box Office Entertainment Awards sa Resorts World Manila sa March 15, Linggo, 6 p.m.
