Unlocked ends with a bang.

“It was fun, to be honest, this episode really focuses on a throuple or a threesome,” pahayag ni Markki nitong Setyembre 2, Miyerkules, via Messenger.

“It focuses more on telling the story. It was highly collaborative, as there was no script and we had to create the plot as we shot the scenes.

“Direk Adolf created the framework and we navigated the story without knowing how it will end. Parang teatro.

“We started from the first sequence and worked our way to the last sequence. I have never done something like this before, so I am excited to see how it turns out.”

“This, in its core, is an examination of how threeway relationships work. The trouble with jealousy and a mix of different personalities,” paliwanag ni Markki.

“We all thought dealing with one person in a loving relationship was hard. Now, try dealing with the complexities of two people. It’s about understanding, trust and sexuality.”

“It is quite poetic actually. The ABC’s in full circle—Andrew & Brix, Calvin & Drake, Ellie & Frankie, Greg & Harold, Ivan & Jack, Kyle & Kyle, Luke & Matt, Neo & Omar, and the season ends with Pancho, Quinn, & Ryan.

“Quinn locks what Andrew unlocked. Not a spoiler, I just found it quite smart.”

MIGGY & JC: PASSION & PROFESSIONALISM

"About kay Markki, sobrang professional niya at napakagaling niya sa co-actors niya on how to handle the different situation.

“It’s my first time to work with Direk Adolf.

“He’s flexible and you feel his eagerness to give the audience the true feelings of the scene. He’s more into real situation and happenings ng mga characters.

“Kasi, yun talaga yun pag nangyayari at pwedeng mangyari.”

Sabi ni Miggy, “As in wala. Magaan lahat at all professional and no apprehension dapat.

“Kasi, need namin ma-feel talaga nang totoo ang bawat scene to make it more real. Laging may third party.

Kasi, naririnig ko na siya noon pa at nakikita for how many years.

“It’s been years bago matupad iyung isa sa dream ko na ma-meet at makatrabaho si Direk Adolf.”

Kumusta ang pagtatrabaho sa panahon ng pandemic, considering the safety protocols and guidelines?

Pahayag ni Miggy, “It’s good.

Pananalig ni Miggy, “You need to fight for your love. You must be willing to accept all the scenarios in life na pwede mong pagdaanan. You just need to be open-minded.”

HEALTHIER THAN EVER

Kumusta naman si Markki nowadays?

“I’m doing amazing actually. Regular morning show with The Morning Rush on Rx93.1, my fitness show called Fitness Tips for Lazy Peeps, we will be moving to Kumu together with Cornerstone,” lahad ng Fil-Norwegian singer-actor.

“I also have a food show brewing that involves home grown food businesses. Aside from that, I have a couple of businesses that I am working on.

“Not to mention Unlocked on Gagaoolala that is doing very well around the world.

"Nagpapasalamat din ako sa Chika, BESH for inviting me to guest on their show to talk more about my workaholic schedule.”

Mas nakapag-work out ba siya these past few weeks?

“I always make time for work outs after what happened to me during quarantine,” pag-amin ni Markki.

“I gained 7 kilos sa first 2 months of quarantine. Now with the help of coaches Raymond Santos and Culver Padilla, I am back to my old weight.

“Health is very imporatant and I have been boosting my immune system through ozone therapy and the Immune Power charge from HeHeals wellness center.

“Ginagamit daw yun sa soldiers and I am feeling healthier than ever. Super important to boost your immune system.

Emotionally, financially?

“Wala naman masyado, I have been lucky dahil sa non-stop work sa RX93.1. Nagpapasalamat ako sa kanila, cuz if they weren’t around baka mabaliw ako sa bahay,” pagtatapat ni Markki.

“Work has always calmed me down, and being able to wake up at 6:00 A.M. every morning for my radio comedy show, I feel like it is my therapy. Also, laughter is the best medicine.

“I am the kind of person who loves to work, especially if it’s something I am passionate about. I would rather do something wonderful for less pay, than something with less promise for a fortune.

“This has been a common theme for me… 10 years later… I’m still here, and I still love what I do. So, I guess I’m doing something right hehe.”

INTRIGA PA MORE

Hindi siya tinatantanan ng mga intriga. Naapektuhan pa ba siya?

“Ah, these things never really affect me,” tahasang tugon ni Markki.

“With my theater background, I am all about professionalism and focusing on my craft. “I’m too busy focusing on the people who love me, than to care about those who don’t.”

Ano ang assessment niya sa kanyang well-being ngayon?

“I couldn’t be happier. In the weekends, I am at home with my family. Parents are both retired,” salaysay ni Markki.

“I have always been fortunate in the sense that I know I always have them to fall back on if anything happens.

“Even if my parents are well off, I have been living by myself since I was 19. I have always believed in the idea of ‘Sariling Sikap’ and have never asked them for financial support.

“Therefore, all there is, is positive emotional support. I love my parents, they are my life, family is everything.”

“Christmas is coming. It has not been easy for us. I have realized that we should help one another during this crisis,” pahayag ni Markki.

“Try to find a way to give what we can especially because it is the holiday season.

“I find that because of people’s frustrations about our situation, social media has turned into a toxic space for a lot of people. I have been looking for ways to cheer people up as opposed to bringing anyone down.

“My hope for next year is that sana, matuloy yung play namin na Bongga Ka Day at Resorts World. We prepared for it only to be stopped in our tracks because of this pandemic.

“Hopefully next year, I will also be able to celebrate at CCP for my scheduled 10 year anniversary concert.

“So many things got cancelled, but I am happy that my family and I are healthy and well. I hope all of you are too. Have a merry Christmas season! Sending all my love.”
