Bea Alonzo and Alden Richards are officially starting their upcoming movie titled Pure Soul.
As first reported by PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) in December 2020, the movie is an adaptation of the 2004 Korean movie A Moment To Remember.
A Moment To Remember’s story came from the 2001 Japanese drama series Pure Soul, where the Pinoy version will also be based on.

As previously reported by PEP.ph, VIVA Films, GMA Pictures, and APT Entertainment are producing the project.
Present at the contract signing were Viva Films chairman and CEO Vic Del Rosario III, GMA Pictures president Annette Gozon-Valdes, and APT Entertainment CEO Mike Tuviera.
In an interview with GMANetwork.com during the contract signing, Del Rosario said that the movie was really made for Alden and Bea.
He pointed out, "Mahirap to imagine na not a combination of [Alden and Bea]. I think sila iyong perfect for the two roles."
Gozon-Valdes is happy that the “dream project” is now a “reality,” while Tuviera says that everyone involved has a “true partnership,” and that the collaboration among the three companies is “so smooth.”
Pure Soul is written by veteran screenwriter Mel Mendoza-del Rosario and directed by Nuel Naval.
Nuel is one of the in-house directors of the ABS-CBN drama anthology Maalaala Mo Kaya. He also directed VIVA Films' 2019 MMFF hit Miracle In Cell No. 7.

It was on December 13, 2020 when PEP.ph—through its Cabinet Files column—first reported about Bea and Alden's movie, A Moment To Remember.
In an exclusive interview with PEP.ph in February 2020, Bea revealed that before giving nod to the project, she personally asked permission from ABS-CBN President Carlo L. Katigbak.
