KC Concepcion has finished filming her upcoming international movie, Asian Persuasion.
KC announced this on her Instagram post earlier today, May 19, 2022, with her pictures from New York City, where the film was shot.
She wrote, “After 2 months of living and working in NYC, we finally wrapped our film @asianpersuasionfilm!!! Excited for you guys to see it!”
Asian Persuasion is KC’s acting comeback after taking a break from showbiz in 2014. She plays the lead actress opposite Filipino-American actor Dante Basco.
KC’s role was originally intended for Toni Gonzaga, who was unable to take on the project due to schedule conflicts.
According to Variety, the story of Asian Persuasion is about “a down-on-his-luck chef who cooks up a crazy scheme to marry off his ex-wife in an attempt to avoid his substantial alimony obligations.”
Dante plays the chef while KC portrays his ex-wife.
KC first announced her involvement in the project on April 13, during her third day of filming Asian Persuasion.
Other Filipino personalities included in the film are Black Eyed Peas’ Apl.de.Ap, Yam Concepcion, Rachel Alejandro, Rex Navarrete, and Tony Labrusca.
The project is the directorial debut of Tony Award-winning producer Jhett Tolentino.
