Tirso Cruz III says he will still do acting projects, but his FDCP chairmanship is his priority for now: "There are other programs that I will be starting on my own. Mga realignment, new visions, new directions. But all in all, it's still to benefit the whole industry."

Sabi ni Tirso: "I'm glad for her and for the other National Artists because to be considered National Artists of this country is a great honor.

"These are all people who have really dedicated their lives to the industry kaya it's only right na ma-name sila as National Artists."

Ani Tirso, "Alam niyo naman ako, I'm here to work. Kahit sino."

Tirso's vision for FDCP

"I'm getting there. I'm not gonna lie, I feel I'm not yet there, but I'm getting there.

"I have good people around me who are helping me and guiding me. Sometimes I'm impressed, sometimes ako yung nai-starstruck with the people I got to meet and the associations sometimes who talk to me.

"But, overall, it's very exciting."

No. Kami naman, I have one thrust in mind, e, and it's to bring back the glory of Filipino film industry.

"Of course, yung mga iniwan ni Liza, they're working programs, we will continue it, of course.

"There are other programs that I will be starting on my own. Mga realignment, new visions, new directions.

"But all in all, it's still to benefit the whole industry. The local film industry."

"We should always remember the Flipinos are very resilient. We are comparative to a bamboo, e.

"Umihip nang malakas ang bagyo, be-bend tayo, pero after the storm, we're back again. Lagi tayong ganyan."

TIRSO TO PRIORITIZE FDCP OVER ACTING PROJECTS

Tugon ni Tirso, "Yes, of course, I will still be an actor. But of course, the FDCP will take priority over my schedules.

"But alam mo naman ang ating industriya, nagagawan ng paraan na we can work around it.

"I will still be doing acting because that is my first love and that is actually what I have done almost all my life. I cannot just drop it like a hot potato.

"The event is the start of film industry celebration. It's a very young affair, it's only on it's second year.

"It's a month-long affair featuring old films, classics, and we also have songs, awit sa pelikula, which are songs that became popular and movies that became popular because of the song.

"We'll be inviting couple of friends that will sing some classic songs that we've known throughout the years. Then will have the culmination of the whole affair."
