Ito ay para maging aktibo siya sa itinayo nilang media and production company ni Ice, ang Fire and Ice Productions, Inc.
Kuwento ni Liza, "When I was in FDCP, yung puso at kaluluwa ko talaga naka-devote sa work ko as public servant.
"I think this is the right time, and it came at the right time kasi Ice [Seguerra] is celebrating his 35th anniversary.
"And for some reason, kung maghahanap ako ng rason bakit nangyari ang mga bagay-bagay sa mundo, it was meant for me to be able to support my husband.
"From there, tuluy-tuloy na."
Paliwanag niya, "Actually, I'm learning on the job honestly.
"Yung Becoming Ice kasi naging learning experience siya for me. Before sa FDCP, I used to have teams, I have a team for marketing, I have a team for tickets, I have a team for everything else.
"Ngayon, ako talaga. Ako gumawa ng lahat ng sponsorship letter, ako gumawa lahat ng invitations, ako nagbenta ng tickets, ako kausap ng platform, ako yung lahat. Walang tulog, ganun."
"That's how I also see our Drag Queens. Parang they've been doing this for the long time but they've always been seen as palamuti or extra or underground. But they deserve a mainstream stage, that's what we're giving them.
"I'm happy that these talented queens, we know them personally. We eat dinner, nagluluto ako for them. I know them in a personal level, they have dreams.
ON PRODUCING FILMS AND LIVE EVENTS
"Fire and Ice is an entertainment company more than just doing live events. We have brands right now, we have Fire and Ice live events, we have Fire and Ice Screen for anything that you see on screen like series, reality shows, films.
"I am producing three films right now, pero yung approach kasi, what I can bring on the table is international yung approach niya. Global, we will shoot, we will bring international talents. Independently produced but global.
"Pangbenta internationally kasi we wanna go commercial. Puwedeng genre series, reality shows... May dine-develop kaming Christmas series.
"I'm talking to some screeners right now and I'm happy kasi excited din sila sa kung ano ang puwede nilang maibigay."
"Yes, I'm the producer of his first film project, the title is Transfatherhood. This is basically din siguro a bio flick of our lives, pero siya yung magdidirek, so we're getting different set of actors to be part of the film.
"Ang goal namin is to get Elliot Page, kung kilala ninyo siya as Juno before, he's the greatest actor in the world. Nasa Umbrella Academy [Netflix series] na siya but he just recently had transition as a trans man.
"This is a very special project for us because we want to normalize how trans family [works].
"This is a journey of a five-year-old who is compelled and forced to see a lesbian partner ng nanay niya as a father figure. Paano ang relationship ng isang five-year-old in terms of his accepetance of the LGBT.
"Journey din siya ng lesbian to realize na he's actually a trans man."
ON GIVING HER ALL AS A PRODUCER
"Oo naman, if there's one thing FDCP gave me is the opportunity to think quality first.
"Parang we need to give the best for our constituents, for our stakeholders. Laging what I have in mind [is] to give the best of what they deserve in terms of, like, content, the quality of the show.
"You've been to all our shows and the events we had in FDCP, so parang nadala ko siya."
Yung ganun kagrabe sa quality, it's that, iyon yun, e. They deserve nothing but the best."
NO REGRETS AFTER FDCP STINT
"I think everyone has opportunity for something better. Siguro, look back ako, I left no stones left unturned.
I mean, at the expense of family sometimes.
"I take everything as a learning experience and nandun lang ako sa sana ituloy yung programs. Sana palakihin pa, kasi right now nandun tayo sa cask ng recovery.
"It's a make or break right now—are we gonna ride away of globalization, are we going to keep up with the industry that is demanding?
"I was ready, I had a three-year plan, papasok na tayo ng Hollywood. I went to the U.S. for a couple of months, hindi puwedeng matanggal yung momentum na yun.
"Nasa Hollywood na tayo, we have an actor who is representing all of us.
"Siguro yun. Kung mayroon akong I know... siguro I know what I'm capable of in terms of experience, the network and the platform that we already established, so sana ituloy."
"To answer yung tinurn over ko nang maayos, I did everything, I made sure lahat ng programs institutionalized.
It's one thing to have a program but to maintain it, that's more challenging.
"I made sure na lahat ng mechanics, execution... We have staff who are still there who can continue this and can really make it big. I believe hindi ako nagkulang dun," saad niya.
