You're My Boss, the first movie featuring the tandem of Coco Martin and Toni Gonzaga, has earned P65 million in the box office.
According to Star Cinema executives, this romantic comedy was able to reach the P65 million mark on its third screening day after opening on Black Saturday, April 4.
Toni is initially cast as the boss of Coco but the tables are suddenly turned and they experience a role reversal.
During a recent bloggers' conference, Antoinette Jadaone, the director of this romantic comedy, explained why they chose Batanes as the setting of this movie.
Yung ganung atmosphere, very conducive for romance.
When asked if the two stars shot a kissing scene for the movie, Coco quipped, "Hindi lang!
He also disclosed how Toni helped him on the set, especially when it came to coaching him on how to speak like a real boss.
Coco recalled that there was a scene wherein he had to take off his shirt but he did not hesitate to do it since he did not feel conscious about doing it in front of his leading lady.
As for Toni, she observed how Coco was very open to constructive criticism.
"He's willing to be corrected."
Will there be a sequel to You're My Boss?
"Pwede," admitted Direk Antoinette.
"Iba yung chemistry nina Toni at Coco dito.
The two stars were then given a situation: if they were the boss of each other, what would be their first instruction?
Toni quipped, "Maghubad siya! Inspection!"
She turned serious and said, "Hawakan niya yung bag ko.
According to Coco, he had no trouble portraying an assistant because of his numerous work experiences in the past.
The ABS-CBN actor also revealed that his next movie would be a comedy film, which is why he is grateful he had the chance to hone his comedy skills through You're My Boss.
