In Your Place or Mine, Andi Eigenmann portrays Haley, a student who gets drunk in a bar and sleeps with a stranger named Russell (played by Bret Jackson).

Ex-couple Andi Eigenmann and Bret Jackson say they did not feel awkward with each other when they shot love scenes for their movie Your Place or Mine.

In an interview with (Philippine Entertainment Portal) during the April 28 premiere night at SM Megamall, the two stars revealed the reason of their awkwardness: being surrounded by people on the set.

For this movie directed by Joel Lamangan, Andi and Bret had to shoot intimate scenes.

Andi portrays Haley, a student who gets drunk in a bar and sleeps with a stranger named Russell (played by Bret Jackson).

She explained, “Ako po, not necessarily awkward with him like per se, but like awkward in general.

“Just because something na para, ‘yon nga siyempre private [act] tapos ginagawa namin in front of everyone then at the same time kasi it’s not actually that we did anything.

“Siyempre everything was very technical, gano’n, so medyo nagkakahiyaan, medyo uncomfortable pero at the same time, trabaho lang so okay lang naman.”

Bret agreed by saying that he did not feel any awkwardness being around his ex-girlfriend but being surrounded by people on the set while doing the act made it uncomfortable for him.

“Hindi awkward, pero the only thing that’s awkward kasi daming tao sa set.

“So like 10 people nanood, so it’s like of awkward in that sense pero kami as a chemistry or team-up, hindi walang awkwardness.”

ONE-NIGHT STAND SET-UP. Your Place or Mine revolves around Haley Saavedra (Andi) and Russell (Bret) who had a one-night stand before being involved in a relationship.

In real life, what are the beliefs of Andi and Bret regarding one-night stands?

Andi said that she does not prefer it because she’s more of a relationship-type of person.

“Ako po kasi I like to consider myself a relationship person as much as I try not to be.

“So parang ‘yong mga one-night stand, of course my eyes are open to that, alam ko naman po na nangyayari ‘yong mga gano’n, and na hindi ako naghuhusga sa mga taong nakaka-experience no’n.”

It’s important for the 24-year-old actress to know someone very well before becoming more intimate with him.

“Pero ako po, parang mas gusto ko na parang ‘yong tao na I share something intimate with, kilala ko. Kilala ko talaga.”

Bret, on the other hand, revealed that he became a playboy in the past when he got his heart broken.

“Oh no, I was a player for a while, actually. Like, after my first breakup with my first girlfriend.

“I went to this phase na parang, I really didn’t want another relationship. So I went to that phase but I found it more empty than meaningful.

“So parang at this time in my life, parang I wanna find a girl that I just wanna be with talaga.”

ANDI TO WORK WITH BRILLANTE. Andi revealed that despite the daring scenes she shot for Your Place or Mine, her 2012 film A Secret Affair can be considered way bolder.

A Secret Affair is still most definitely more daring.

“I think that the difference is Your Place or Mine tackles an issue that is daring, that is more liberated than the usual teeny-bopper film.

“But it’s still for the youth, and so mas conservative pa rin yung execution namin ng mga eksenang ganon.”

Andi has been busy shooting consecutive movie projects. In January 2015, she starred in the supernatural horror movie Tragic Theater.

For the third quarter of 2015, she is expected to star in her third movie.

However, she did not divulge any details yet except that it will be directed by Cannes award-winning director Brillante Mendoza.

“Meron po akong gagawin pagkatapos nito, sa July, with Brillante Mendoza pero hanggang do’n pa lang.”
