Viva talent Shy Carlos gets her first lead role via the horror movie Chain Mail.
In an interview with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal), Shy excitedly talked about her upcoming movie.
“Excited and pressured, siyempre ‘di ba? Kasi first lead role [ko] siya so sana magustuhan and sana maging maganda yung outcome.
“Kasi akala ko, at first sabi ko feeling ko pang horror talaga ako, mga gano’n gano’ng eksena.
“Pagdating ko sa set, ‘Hala ang hirap!’ Sobrang hirap, nakakapagod, nakakapagod siya.
“So sana yung paghihirap namin ano… and ‘yong director, ‘yong buong production sobrang galing.”
The film is directed by award-winning director Adolf Alix Jr., who is famous for his indie films and the critically-acclaimed GMA News TV drama series Bayan Ko.
She also said that their horror film brings back the old trend wherein cursed chain messages were spread out and if people won’t forward it, they might get bad luck.
“Alam niyo ‘yong mga chain letters na pinapadala dati, ‘di ba sa e-mail na if in-ignore mo, meron kang seven days para i-send siya.
“Kapag sinend mo, magiging lucky ka. ‘Pag dinelete mo, mamamatay ka.
“So ‘yon, gano’n siya. Do’n tatakbo ‘yong story tapos hahanpin namin kung pa’no ma-solve ‘yong curse.”
In the past, did she also receive chain messages?
“Oo. ‘Di ba? Uso siya, e.”
What did she do? “Inignore! Haha! ‘Di ba? Kayo ba? Ignore di ba?!”
The horror film is scheduled to be shown this year. Aside from Shy, it also stars Meg Imperial, Jackie Lou Blanco, AJ Muhlach and John Regala.
