When Love Begins was shot partly in Boracay Is., located northwest of mainland Aklan province. Aga Muhlach and Anne Curtis are paired together for the first time in this romantic drama directed by Joey Reyes.
One would definitely feel the heat in this contemporary yet heart-tugging story of Ben Caballero (Aga) and Michelle "Mitch" Valmonte (Anne). They are two people whose emotions are overwhelmed by their personal problems, making it difficult for them to fall in love. When time presents the opportunity to find their perfect match, will they be able to figure out their weaknesses and fight their personal demons and prove that their passion is not just a fleeting emotion?
The film's director, Joey Reyes told PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) about this movie, which was originally titled Waiting for Love. "They [Ben and Mitch] met in Bora. They met in Boracay but the love continues in urban Manila."
According to Direk Joey, the lawyer turned environmentalist was in Boracay because Ben was organizing a project for the coral reefs of the island.
"That's where the conflict comes in," revealed Direk Joey during his solo press conference at the ABS-CBN compound last April 9. "Because Anne's father, Christopher De Leon, turns the land into subdivisions and to semi-commercial areas. By doing so, he is creating rural imbalance. You know, ecological imbalance. That's where the clash between the characters of Ben and Mitch happens."
A powerhouse and exciting group of actors provide excellent acting support to Aga and Anne namely: Ronaldo Valdez, Boots Anson Roa, Desiree Del Valle, Dimples Romana, Mandy Ochoa, Angel Jacob, Rafael Rosel, AJ Dee, Jon Avila, Mads Nicolas, Alma Lerma, Jennifer Lee.
The film introduces some of ABS-CBN's products of PBB and PDA: Micky Perz, Dionne Monsanto, Raymond Lim, Riza Santos, Gail Nicolas, Gemma Fitzgerald and Davey Langit.
The whole country will definitely feel the love this summer with When Love Begins as it opens on April 30 in over 150 theaters nationwide.
