In a story conference held recently, Liza and Enrique talked about their roles in their upcoming Star Cinema movie Everyday, I Love You.
Liza plays Audrey, whom she describes as a “romantic with an old soul.”
"I live in Silay, Bacolod and I'm the type of person who's very patient," she said.
Meanwhile, Enrique plays Ethan, a guy who grew up with his father when his mother abandoned them to return to her first love.
Unlike Liza’s character, Enrique's character is someone who wants everything to be fast paced.
“Ako yung tipong ayokong mag-hintay, gusto ko laging number one. Ayoko ng late, gusto ko laging everything in order.
“Super baliktad do’n sa kanya [pointing to Liza], siya naman willing to wait, for everything, buong buhay niya for love, for everything.
“Ako naman I cannot wait because I don’t want to be No. 2, I want to be No. 1.”
Playing third wheel to them is Gerald Anderson, who is cast as Tristan, Audrey’s boyfriend.
Gerald describes his character as a probinsyano who is also an old soul like his girlfriend. He is also a family man but “something happens which changes my life completely.”
Given this new role, Gerald admits feeling excited but at the same time scared since this is the first time that he’ll be playing the third wheel. In his previous movies, the 26-year-old actor was tapped as the leading man.
“Ngayon, alam ko na yung feeling na third wheel sa aming love team dati and how they handle yung mga sinasabi ng fans.”
Direk Mae also revealed that the movie will be shot in Bacolod.
“It suits the story kasi parang ano, they say that Silay is the Paris of the South. May romantic feel, the houses, the place itself has that feel. It’s perfect for our characters."
Direk Mae is excited to be working again with Gerald, Liza and Enrique. She has worked with the three stars in different movies.
She worked with Gerald in the 2011 movie Catch Me I’m In Love withSarah Geronimo. She also directed LizQuen in the Bea Alonzo-Dingdong Dantes starrer She’s The One in 2013.
“They’re still the same people, what’s nice about them is success hasn’t gotten into their heads so nakakatuwa that I’ll be working with these people again."
