The Caregiver cast is composed of (bottom row, seated) John Manalo, Mickey Ferriols, Sharon Cuneta, Boots Anson Roa, Makisig Morales and (top row, standing) Lotlot de Leon, John Estrada, Rica Peralejo, and Arron Villaflor.

For the first time, Sharon Cuneta collaborates with acclaimed director Chito Roño for the drama movie about OFWs—Star Cinema's Caregiver. With 80 percent of the film shot in London, England, this movie will tug at the hearts of Filipinos who have family members and relatives working abroad to improve their lives.

The Megastar describes Direk Chito as a terror teacher when he goes in front of the camera because of his strict method. But she says that it is all worthwhile because he can really bring out the best from his stars.

Sharon describes this movie with much vigor.

Parang inako ko na yong responsibilidad na I'm going to be representing caregivers all over the world."

Caregiver chronicles the journey of Sarah, a schoolteacher turned caregiver. Direk Chito points out that this movie is a pioneering project because they have chosen to cast British actors in major roles (Saul Reichlin, Matthew Rutherford, Claire Jeater).

The Pinoy cast is composed of John Estrada, Rica Peralejo, Makisig Morales, John Manalo, Jhong Hilario, Mickey Ferriols, Lotlot de Leon, Marita Zobel, Anita Linda, Ella V., Ima Castro and Boots Anson Roa.

Sharon describes her experience while working in London for Caregiver: "In the end really I think it's empowering.

Caregiver is a fitting tribute not only to the millions of Overseas Filipino Workers but also for Sharon herself, since 2008 marks her 30 successful years in the showbiz industry and 20 years in ABS-CBN.

For her fans, the Megastar has this message: "I hope magustuhan ninyo itong munting alay ko para sa napakalalaking okasyon na ito for over 30 years in music and 27 years in movies I have been yours. You have made me yours. So this is my tribute to all of you and to all mothers because really Sarah is, first and foremost, a mother and she is an empowered woman, so panoorin nyo po sana ang Caregiver.

Caregiver opens in theaters nationwide on May 28. International premieres will take place in Los Angeles (May 31), Honolulu (June 1), London (June 6), and Rome (June 7).
