During the brief preview of Sa Pagdapo ng Mariposa, members of the press were able to see a powerful performance of Liza Diño for the indie film directed by Will Fredo. At the start of the movie, viewers see the hardships suffered by Fatima Mariposa (Liza) before she gives birth to her son Carlito (played by Josh Deocareza). The battered wife delivers her child in the middle of a field as Kuh Ledesma's song "Ugoy ng Duyan" plays in the background.
After 25 years, Carlito becomes a certified caregiver taking care of an old man (played by Leo Rialp) who is afflicted with Parkinson's disease. After some time, Carlito gets a new ward in the person of Agustin (Marcus Madrigal) who was injured while playing in a sepak takraw game.
Find out the twist of this story, which involves a mariposa butterfly that is said to be a bad omen for Filipinos. Sa Pagdapo ng Mariposa received a rating of R-18 from The Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB). It will be screened from May 21 to June 3 at the IndieSine of Robinsons Galleria.

SYNOPSIS. Sa Pagdapo ng Mariposa looks into the heart and mind of Carlito. As a caregiver he goes through his mundane existence, helping others with their struggles. But his life changes when he falls in love with a patient, a young athlete whose future is destroyed by a debilitating injury.
Leaving his long-time girlfriend and defying the memories and teachings of his mother, Carlito dedicates his time and passion to the young man Agustin (Marcus Madrigal). He abandons his present life and faces his reality. He embraces his nature and finds his truth.
