The Prenup, a romantic comedy starring Jennylyn Mercado and Sam Milby, was able to earn P8 million in the box-office on its opening day.



The Prenup, starring Jennylyn Mercado and Sam Milby, performed well in the box-office during its opening day.

According to producer Regal Films, this rom-com was able to gross P8 million when it opened in cinemas on October 14.

Directed by Jun Lana, this movie partly shot in New York has been graded B by the Cinema Evaluation Board.

In the movie, Sean (played by Sam) is a photographer who happens to meet Wendy (played by Jennylyn) while en route to New York.

Sean offers his apartment to Wendy when she suddenly has nowhere to go in New York.

After a whirlwind romance, they return to the Philippines to get married.

However, the guy's rich parents (played by Jaclyn Jose and Freddie Webb) are suspicious of Wendy's intentions and insist that she signs a prenuptial agreement.

Complications arise when Wendy's gay parents (played by Dominic Ochoa and Gardo Versoza) add their own clauses to the prenup.
