There is a new Hollywood B-movie being shot in the Philippines but scheduled to be released in the United States, ang pelikulang Road Raiders.
Producer Roger Corman, considered the King of B Movies of Hollywood, has given a go signal for a futuristic movie to be shot in the Philippines titled Road Raiders. Kuwento ito sa panahon ng paubos na ang tubig sa buong mundo so mercenaries are searching the whole world for water and following a legend about a place where water still flows. This oasis is guarded by a tribe of Amazon warriors led by three sisters.
Philippine director Cirio Santiago is slated to direct the film and will be assisted by another American B-movie director named Jim Winorski.
Dalawang Hollywood stars ang magbibida sa pelikula, sina Michael Mardsen (Sin City, Chronicles of Narnia The Witch The Lion and The Wardrobe, Kill Bill and Kill Bill 2) and Kevin Stapleton (TV's Law and Order and Law And Order Criminal Intent). Si Michael ang kontrabida kay Kevin who has his own team of mercenaries including two Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Edition 2 housemates na sina Riza Santos and Will Devaughn.
The Amazonian tribe will be played by two Playboy Playmates (one is Monica Leigh, Playboy Playmate for March 2006) and our very own, former Viva Hot Babe and now GMA Artist Center star Jen Rosendahl.
Sa Pilipinas ang shoot nito including the main location na Daranak Falls sa Rizal.
May iba ring local stars na makakasama sa pelikula including Alvin Anson (kapatid ni Ms. Boots Anson Roa) and Jen's parents, both playing Amazon tribe members.
For late this year ang release ng movie sa U.S. at hindi pa tapos ang principal photography although nauna nang nai-shoot ang lahat ng eksena ni Michael sa Pilipinas dahil marami pa siyang commitment sa Hollywood.
