Jun Lana bags Best Director award in India for Anino Sa Likod ng Buwan

—or Shadow Behind the Moon as it is presented internationally—continues to gain international recognition as Jun Robles Lana wins Best Director at the 20th International Film Festival of Kerala.

The Filipino director was able to beat 13 other contenders in the film fest held from December 4-11 in India.

Starring LJ Reyes, Anthony Falcon, and Luis Alandy, this movie tackles Marag Valley's military operations in the early 1990s that has brought about the reality of “internal refugees” who suffered the effect of the said operation.

This is Direk Jun’s second Best Director award as he first won at the 13th Pacific Meridian Film Festival in Russia.

Anino have won a total of four awards in Russia which included Best Actress for the film’s lead, LJ Reyes.

Other previous international awards that Anino has received are the Netpac (Network for the Promotion of Asian Cinema) Award and the International Critics Prize from Fipreci (International Federation of Film Critics).

Anino sa Likod ng Buwan is a fusion of Direk Jun’s passion for theater and film.
