Trixie Angeles (conservationist/ legal counsel for the National Commission on Culture and the Arts), Alan Allanigue (station manager of DZRB Radyo ng Bayan), Crispina Belen (veteran journalist), Joy Belmonte (Quezon City Vice-Mayor), at Krip Yuson (writer/poet, inducted to the Hall of Fame of the Carlos Palanca Memorial Awards for Literature).

Buong paliwanag ni Sid, "I had to back out because our producers talked us about having to double time.

"And our Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays are gonna be for the show because people are leaving and it's gonna be Christmas time so we have to can.

"And then when I found out about the set-up of how they're gonna be watching, it was not feasible and it's not gonna be fair for me to waste anybody's time or to do my job partially."

Aniya, "They asked a couple of suggestions and we called all of them and it fell on Ping's [Medina] lap which I'm really happy with because I've known him since I started and I kinda agree with his film sense."

SCREENING PROCESS.

Pagsalaysay pa ng aktor, "One of the main reasons why I embraced the idea of being part of the committee was it's really important, like I said a while ago, about [independent] Filipino films and how it gets across, this is one of them, e.

"Moira [Lang] is now heading it, who's a very big representative of the independent film cinema in the Philippines so yeah, importante itong time na ito and we'll see what happens.

"I heard a lot of people got angry especially the ones who are like the 'sukis' of MMFF but with all the film festivals, it's the biggest and I think it should embrace all kinds of films.

"Plus, the screening process is really different now. You can't just pass a script. It has to be a finished edit at least. Like a 'locked picture' or something like that so you can't base it on the script anymore which is fair."

Kuwento ng 35-year-old actor, "Everybody has to go to a certain place and watch about a certain number of films. And then it's scattered through a couple of days within the month. The problem is they can't give us screeners because of piracy and it's part of the deal with the directors that you can't have screeners.

"You have to have people come in and watch it which is cool because everybody's together and then they actually get to deliberate before and after [the movie] so I think I agree with it but schedule-wise it's really difficult."

No, which is great because I don't have any biases or anything. I had no idea. In fact, when I backed out, they were still inviting me to watch the films but from the list of films that they [presented], I knew some people on those films.

"And I felt that it wouldn't be fair to be watching these films ahead of everybody else when I've already relinquished my position in the committee so I went home."
